We’ve been busy preparing for our next art exhibition at Nexus. We’ve got some really exciting pieces that reflect the changing nature of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
The launch is on Wednesday 6 September, 6pm-8pm. If you can’t make that then see the opening times below.

An exhibition looking at the colourful past and vibrant future of Manchester¹s most quirky and exciting district, exploring the grime and the glamour, sleaze and saintly, old and new alongside the community and ambience which makes the northern quarter so unique and irresistible.

Emerging Manchester Artists Find Space for “Creation and Creativity” at Nexus
Show Preview: 14 June 6-8pm
Manchester artists presenting canvas and digital installations will inaugurate the new Nexus exhibition space in the heart of the city’s Northern Quarter. Entitled “Creation and Creativity” the show paves the way for a variety of innovative exhibitions and events in the Dale Street location.
Nexus is best known as a night café serving the clubbers and revellers of the city centre. Rev Cris Acher, one of the key forces behind Nexus, explains it offers a flexible and creative space, hosting film nights, workshops, a church as well as the night café.
“We want this space to reflect the creativity that exists right here in Manchester,” says Acher.
Exhibition curator, Bex Melvin, says, “I came to the night café and immediately realised the potential for an art exhibition here. The space and location is ideal”.
“Creation and Creativity” runs from 15-20 June and is open from 11am-5pm each day. Visitors will also have the opportunity to relax in adjacent coffee lounge which will be open during exhibition hours.
